National Forensic Science Week USA 2022
The United States National Forensic Science Week (September 18-24, 2022) is a time to recognise the important contribution that forensic science makes to the criminal justice system: it can exonerate the innocent, uncover crime patterns, identify perpetrators, solve crimes, and help to enhance public safety. The week also provides an opportunity to celebrate those working in the many fields of forensic science, as well as academics and scientific researchers.
NFSW was conceived in 2013 by a group of forensic leaders as a way to recognise and continue to advance quality forensic science. Support for the idea was then offered by the MCC, ICAP, ASCIA, MCSA, as well as the organisations that make up the CFSO. NSFW is now widely recognised across the US, including by the United States Senate, and is continuing to gain traction internationally. The Forensic Technology Center of Excellence are running a series of events, you can learn more here.
2022 marks the 10th annual NFSW. foster+freeman will be posting content on social media throughout the week, you can follow and get involved using #NFSW2022. Check back on this page to see some of our highlights throughout the week.
