Crime-lite AUTO to feature in The Royal Institution Christmas Lectures 2022
We are proud to announce that the revolutionary foster+freeman Crime-lite® AUTO will feature in the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures, to be delivered by prominent forensic scientist Professor Dame Sue Black, DBE, and broadcast on BBC Four.
The Lectures will be filmed in the Royal Institution theatre between the 13th and 17th of December and later broadcast on BBC Four and iPlayer, with foster+freeman Technical Product Specialist Dan Skros in attendance to provide technical guidance on how this unique product can be used to its full potential.
The Crime-lite® AUTO is one of foster+freeman’s latest products which, by combining state-of-the-art forensic imaging technology with powerful multi-spectral illumination, has the potential to revolutionise the detection, analysis and capture of crime-scene evidence.
A Scientific Christmas Tradition
For almost two centuries the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures have provided important opportunities for learning, having been initiated at a time where there was little access to formal scientific education for children.
Today modern technology allows the Lectures to further expand their reach, from the Ri theatre to homes and schools across the country.
With forensic science increasingly prominent in the public eye, it is a fitting subject for this years Lectures. Dame Sue will be revealing the ‘secrets of forensic science’, and touching upon why it is important we don’t believe everything we see on television. Her lectures will use important cases from her high-profile career to explore advancements in forensic science, and what we can expect in the future.
